In May of 2006, after being cooped up all winter, our friends Brian and Debbie suggested a long weekend camping trip to the plains. After some research, we decided that Apishapa would be perfect.

So on Memorial Day weekend, 2006, we headed south. While we were expecting to see a few other people, it being a holiday weekend, we saw no one, and had a long relaxing weekend to ourselves.

The area is not a 4x4 location, though Brian and Debbie were in a Suby! Access was on dirt roads and was pretty easy. The views are fantastic, and we saw a pretty good diversity of wildlife.
